The Cook, The Chef and The Orchestra

The Noosa International Food & Wine Festival 2012 will open with a unique Gala Concert and Dinner.  The Cook, The Chef and The Orchestra will feature the extraordinary culinary skills of popular TV chefs, Maggie Beer and Simon Bryant, combined with the prodigious musical talents of the Queensland Arts Orchestra under the baton of musical funnyman Guy Noble.  Queen of the Flute, Jane Rutter, will add to the magic of the evening.

The Concert promises to be a sensory feast of gastronomic and musical delights as these two culinary masters chop, blend and whisk in time to some great orchestral favourites.  Guaranteed to whet the appetitie of food and music lovers alike.

Friday May 18

Friday night is party night at the Festival where we welcome sponsors, contributors and patrons alike.  This year it promises to be a party in the true sense of the word - great food, great wine and GREAT entertainment.

Funky local band, PocketLove will get the party rolling around 5pm followed by fabulous ARIA award winner, Anthony Callea.  One of Australia's favourite and most versatile peformers, Anthony knows how to get an audience on their feet and dancing.

Australia's hottest young star, the gorgeous Jessica Mauboy, will bring the evening to a climax with her fantastic dance show.  having worked with Beyonce, Snoop Dog and Chris Brown, Jessica will wow the Festival Audience with her great talents and soaring vocal range.

Saturday May 19

From 3pm

Kicking off the afternoon will be the very hip Martini Club - an elite cadre of musicians armed with horns and an arsenal of percussion and sassay vocals.

Queens of the Beehive, The Fabulous Singlettes, whose impeccable harmonies and camp humour have made them a hit all over Europe, will round off the afternoon with their entertaining take on the hits of the 60's & 70's.

Sunday May 20

From 3pm

The 2012 Festival will end on an amazing high with a performance by the sensational Sneaky Sound System preceded by the talented trio, Audio Vixen, who impressed judges on X Factor 2011 with their fabulous vocals and harmonies.

Multi-award winners, Sneaky Sound System, featuring Miss Connie and Black Angus, will surely light up the Festival stage with their unique music and exciting stage presence.  Simultaneously billed as "Australia's Number One Dance Act" and "Electro-pop Giants", they have enjoyed enormous success in australia, the UK and Europe.

Tickets  to all concerts will be limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
